We already know that Indonesia
has got many various cultures. Of course it makes Indonesia has many cultural
places where become tourists’ destination. I am going to talk about one of
cultural places that Indonesia has, Malioboro Street. It is not a building, it
just only a street in Yogyakarta. But you have to know, Malioboro is packed. It
is filled by many shops where selling many stuffs, such as accessories, cloths
and all of the cultural stuffs. I have been there a few years ago but I didn’t take
any photos, well I don’t have photos to share to you. But Malioboro seems to be
like this.
I would say that I love this place;
it is so cultural and traditional. As you can see, there is also some
traditional transportation. There are Becak and Dokar. Becak is one of
traditional transportation in Java; it has three wheels and ride through pedal
like cycling. Dokar is also as traditional transportation; actually it is also
called by many names such as, Delman, Kereta Kuda. Basically it seems to be a
princess train in the children story, it is withdrawn by horse(s) and the driver
who controls the train and the horse is called Kusir. it is not only there are traditional transportation on Malioboro but Malioboro also has traditional foods sellers and singer or group traditional who show up in around Malioboro street. Malioboro is as important
object for Yogyakarta tourist, you might not be said that you have ever visited
Yogyakarta unless you would not visit this place; it is so iconic of
Yogyakarta. I have mentioned above about traditional transportation, if you
want to go looking around to see how cultural Yogyakarta is, you can take dokar
or becak – the riders would take you to around. It would be fascinating!
